Just took my cluster out - any replacement bulbs brighter than the 158's it had in it? 194's look similar but I don't know if they're brighter or not. I don't want to have to go nuts special ordering some weird bulb, just curious if there are any differences.

for what it's worth : 158=.24watts, 194=.27watts,168=.35watts 192=.33watts so i think higher is brighter[?]. don't know if this helps or not. this info is from a G.E. lamp book. all #'s are 12v.

Yep, my cluster was always too dimly lit for me except in deserted rural areas. I went up to the 192 from the 158 and noticed a big difference, was real happy with the results.

You also don't want to draw too much current and melt the wiring or pop the fuse. You also don't want hotter bulbs that may melt your cluster.

If you get all new correct bulbs and clean it real good, it'll be just fine, I'm sure.

Cool - thanks! I think I'll just go with 194's as I have enough of them lying around. That list should be in the tech area somewhere.

Maybe the problem lies elswhere in you electrical system where the bulbs aren't running at the proper voltage because of degraded/corroded connections etc.

Honestly - I've never even turned the lights on in my Duster I just recall how my 69 Valiant was and wanted a little more light. Figured I'd replace the bulbs since I have the cluster out to change my dash pad.

The guy making the whiteface gauge overlays for the Duster Cluster offers LEDs that fit those sockets, and have 1 or 4 LEDs per bulb.
