rickmoore69 OP enthusiast R Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 218 NC	have a stroked 440 w/ stealth heads, xr280r roller cam, card says lash is 16 int/ 18 exh. I'm assuming that's hot. What should I set them cold. Engines been sitting a couple of years while I've recovered from lung cancer. Thanks guys/gals

hankcrank member H Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 145 B.C. Canada	On my iron 440 block with aluminum heads (stage 6) I gained .004" from cold to hot. On my aluminum low block with aluminum heads I gain .015" from cold to hot. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys/gals you need to make sure that is a hot lash or cold lash from the mfg. then go from there,,my comp calls for .020 hot exh/int and I set them .015 cold because my alum heads grow .005 at running temp. Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.
