Going from a 26.5 to a 29 inch front tyre. We could loosen off the torsion bars (lower the front of the car), get the same ride height, have more upwards travel and make the Caltracs work. Started clearing the 60ft beams with the fronts after that
'74 Challenger..9.46 @ 145.9 1/4, 6.001 @ 118 1/8 so far. 4023lb !!! # N/A, Marsh performance 655ci, Indy Maxx, T/R, Indy 600-13 X's, Street legal, pump gas, full interior, Cal-Tracs, mufflers, 3:73's and real 10.5 radials. 9.51 @ 142.4 1/4, 6.003 @ 114 1/8 with our old mule KB, 572-13, 580 wedge. RHD '68 Barracuda Fastback 323ci street/strip. Best ET 13.88 @ 99.03

Drained a qt of oil out of a car once and picked up a tenth.

seal carb to scoop...some foam from moroso, bell mouth and some sheet aluminum... I soon hope to explore the benefits of spray

me too, $20 worth of 2x3. Another cheap thing i like to do whenever i rebuild a carb is to use the small button head screws to hold the butterflies to the shafts.I get them for almost free from the guy i buy my kits from. Make sure you Locktite them in. I also like to chop the choke tower off. I can't verify the benefits though. Also bowl port my own heads and recurve my own distributors. I can't say how much i gain from any of this, but it sure is cheap to do.

I remember working on collector length and picking up, but don't remember how much. The cheap mods are the most satisfying for me.
Yeah, it's got a smallblock.
