My Coronet looks a bit anaemic with the 14" rally wheels, so i think i'm going to fit some weld wheels i have on the car. They are 10x15 with a 5" backspace and i'm hoping to fit 265/70/15 tyres on the back, will they fit without cutting ?

Probably not on a 10 inch wide rim. 66-67 cars had small wheel wells and very low wheel lips. an 8" will be tight but will go. A 7" is ideal.

265 is a bit skinny for a 10" rim anyway. 275 is marginal. 295 fits decent, but agian, you wont' get that in a '67 wheel well.

No 10" rim will fit a stock wheel well. A 275/60 on a 15x7 with 4 3/8" BS or 4.25" BS is about as big as you can go.

I just put M/T ET Street Radials 255/60/15 tires with 15 x 8 (4.5 inch backspace) steel wheels on my daughter's 67 Coronet.

I would have to say that is as big a tire that I could safely put under there with everything being stock. 265/60/15 might barely fit but it would need to have a different backspace and probably custom wheel spacers. I was not willing to take that chance.

Right now I can barely get my index finger between the fender lip and the tire.

I agree with the above, we put a pair of 255/60/15s on my brothers 67 20 years ago. As I recall we used stock 15x6.5" steelies and things were tight.

on my old 67 I ran 15x6 up front with 215/75/15's and 15x7 w/ 275/60/15's. Tight fit but they will work. the 10's won't work...at least not w/o jacking it up a ton.

Thanks, It's an R/T, so i dont want to cut it at all and i've already got one race car, just want to fill the wheel arches out a bit.
I might try and pick some steel wheels up and fit 255's
