If you park in the garage you have to put a charcoal canister on the vent.. thats the only thing that works and allows it to still vent... and you may need to blow the canister out once in a while if it loads up bad

Anyone have a link? All the ones I've seen on google have vacuum hoses or attach to a wiring harness. Isn't it just a can with a nipple on the top and bottom and it's filled with charcoal? Or is there more to the design?

The ones with the vac hose purge out the gas smell when the engine is running... if you dont want to go that way just get a early canister (in the 70s) but like I said you may end up purging it with air

Most people run 1 vent... you just need enough area in the line to do the job... if the pump is causing a lot of turbulence in the tank then it needs a larger area in the line

Cap the vent line with a popppet check valve with a very light spring, so it would relieve pressure at 1-2 psi or so. That would keep your fuel fresher and away from moisture in the air when your car is parked inside. It's the only for sure way/safe way, but you got to remember to remove it when using the car.
A poppet valve is just bypass valve used in fuel injection, small and compact.
The problem with any check valve is when it opens it still bleeds off the fumes into the garage... in the emission game we went to charcoal canisters to eliminate all of the vapors... when we do the emissions test the car is basically in a big baggie and we cant have more than X grams of emissions(very small amount) from the whole car

Sure you can make one... thats how we started out... but you can buy one pretty easy and have what you want... if you do make one get small graduals... it gives you more surface area to pick up vapor
