What side of the clutch pedal should the pin for the rod be? on the brake side or out side?

Pin for the rod is on the brake side. The pin on the outside is for the neutral safety switch. Hope this helps.

Thanks, it does. Doing an auto to manual conversion and trying to figure this stuff out. However the pedals that I have do not have a stud on the brake side, just the outside towards the top. There is a hole lower on the pedal, is this where the stud should be?

The rod goes on the pin facing the brake pedal the other higher pin is for the overcenter spring and the hole in the pedal arm itself, about 1/4", is for the plastic button for the clutch switch. If you can, post a pic of the pedals because in some ways it sounds like you have a set of A-body pedals.
