You will notice that the wording realitive to ARP has been eliminated from the newer ad. Also, thats a pretty ghetto way of spacing the girdle off the main caps. The picture shows 2 washers, a 12 point nut, another washer on top of the nut, then the girdle. The nuts look like Pro-Comp stuff. The pricing indicates the same.
I'm putting an engine together for a friend and he bought the mancicni girdle kit. Nice complete kit but same issue. The long main studs in the kit I am certain are not arp and to make things worse when torquing them down to measure the mains one snapped off. It appeared the hardening process was not right. Mancini said they would replace all the studs with arp but I don't know if they can due to proprietary rights of someone. There have been posts on here about trying to buy these studs direct from arp and they couldn't.

Girdles also do a gret job of captuing the oil right to the front & rear main seals causing leaks. Don't ask us how we know. Found out the hard way. After we clearanced the girdle back away from the counter weights on the front & rear pan seal areas all problems were resolved.

Girdles are a bandaid, not a solution...
Yeah, but so are aftermarket main caps, running hard-blok, etc. Some of us can get away w/ a band-aid (or two ), while others are wasting their $$$ to even bother w/ an OEM block due to the power level they make.

Just an update on the mancini kit. Apparently they have had more than just my problem with the studs in their kit. They are trying to get arp studs but may take 5 weeks so they have offered to replace their kit with a hughes engine kit.
