Any other motors bolt to this tranny other than old "A" block 318? Adapters available? Any help appreciated. Anyone near Ft. Worth with a big block cable shift tranny for sale? Parts to beef up the old 318 almost impossible to find.

I'm 99 percent certain an LA motor will bolt up. As for the poly, I think somebody makes a 4bbl intake. Cam would need to be custom made. As for the bottom end, it's still basic smallblock, so a stroker crank can be done.

Buy a Hybrid!! I need your gas!!! Currently spending $1,000 a month to feed the Hemis!! Looking for that elusive CHEAP 71-72 Plymouth B-body 2 door OR 71-72 Coronet 4 door!!!

The LA bolts right up.The 66 Chargere my kid has we pulled the poly and put in a 70 LA.You will need to change exhaust also as poly is totally different.I believe one bolt dosent line up on the bell.Thats it.Rocky

There are adapter kits to go BB to SB transmissions so they are available if you want to go that route

904 is the same bell housing as a SB 727
