Larry, It's head limited, probably won't do more than 800hp. It should still be enough to get me in trouble. Spent the day stripping the short block and enlarging the notches in the block for rod clearance. Also have to degree the cam in and check rod to lobe clearance. Dave

Head limited, me thinks not My 526 bracket motor made 845 HP at 7000 RPM with a set of 440-1 that flowed 370 at .700 and up That motor needed a better set of dyno headers, the flanges where smaller than the ports are and it missed from 5200 RPM up, still made that power Drag radials like to spin once they come loose, be careful I've had the drag radials come loose at 70 MPH + on the street, it does get your attention If I'm remembering correctly you have a engine dyno now, correct? If so are you and will you post the dyno results for the new motor, please

Cab; I've got a set of M/T radial drag slicks for the track. Still pondering what tire to go with for the street. And yes, I've got a Land&Sea dual-stator toriod-13" absorber, supposed to be good to 2000hp if you have enough water to feed it. My current setup should work past 1000hp. I believe it's pretty accurate. But as you know it's a tuning tool and ultimate numbers aren't that important. I'm still a babe in the woods when it comes to the dyno. The few motors for friends I've had on it though have on average have picked up 45hp or better from start to finish. The Hemi can move over 50 hp just adjusting the thermoquad secondary air doors .050-.060.
The motor is a street motor that makes a pass on the strip every now and then. So it doesn't have many bells or whistles.
605ci, 10.4-1, CC solid roller .722/.699, 285/290@ .050 110 centerline,(don't know yet where I'll install it at yet, have to see what the lobe to rod clearance is at different installed centerlines). Milodon dual line oil system, 12 quart pan, with scrapper and tray. Weiand tunnelram with 2 850 thermoquads, headers are probably to small now they're 2-1/8x34"x3-1/2 collectors. Heads, Indy SR heads, flows 386.2@.700.
The same package except for 25 less cfm on the intake at 528ci made 758.8hp@6800. I'll hope for 800 and if it does better great.
The motor will be going in my old truck and that's the limiting factor. With the trucks aerodynamics 125-130 something is the maximum speed I dare drive it. Somewhere in that area the front end gets light enough to loose all steering control.
When I get the motor all sorted out I'll post the dyno numbers. Dave

I to have expereinced going too fast in a car that air would get under the front end and make it very dangerous, I'm glad God didn't want me dead at that time lower the front of the truck, install a full width air dam close to the ground(NHRA limits 3.0 inch or higher at static ride hieghts, add a wing on the bed at the tail gate or remove the tail gate and be very careful to see if that helps . BTW, I love your truck, I had two early Dodge car haulers, 1955 D500( 1 1/2 ton 17 ft. flatbed made into a hauler) and a 1957 D300, one ton car hauler when I bought it, switch cabs to a 1959 or 1960 pick up cab then I bought a Ford

Dude, you are seriously not right, why don't you put a 440 wedge in the truck and buy Dragula's Cuda and put the hemi in there.

People have been telling me I'm half a bubble off all my life so why change now. Besides, you see a Cuda you expect it to be fast. What do you think of when you see my truck, it's just another old farm truck.
Ted; The kit wasn't without some drama and hair pulling. 4 days after I ordered it I found out the crank was on intergalactic backorder. I called Callies and found out they had 10 cranks in inventory with BB Mopar main sizes, and 2.2 rod pin sizes, but with BB Chevy rod journel widths. I had them just subsitute the rods that fit the journel widths. Bob had to do a bit of arm twisting with Indy but it all worked out. I've got to give a big thanks to Bob George for all his help in the matter. Dave

Its' called "sleeper!"
What would you expect from a guy who carries a revolver that shoots an elephant cartridge (45/70)?
There was a 4x4 power wagon down in the Mpls area running a 632 with nitrous and whopping all commers in local street racing action for some time, so it must be something in the water!
Dave, glad to hear ya got your parts!
