I know that one of the yellow from the dome light harness is
connected to the dimmer switch and also to the door switch.
How or what role does the dimmer play on the dome light functionality.
Also is there 12 volts running on the entire circuit including both door switches and dome light harness and how does the door switch's
activate the dome light.

It's a dry heat
should be 12 volts on the pink wire.
yellow wire is ground circuit only.

the only thing the panel dimmer does for the dome light is supply aground on said yellow wire to turn on the dome light with the door closed

should NOT be any bat voltage on the door switches / yellow wire circuit
