I got a new oil pump but it didn't come with any gaskets and there is no o-ring(s) on the shaft or anywhere else. I have a Fel Pro engine gasket kit 2110 and it's not in there. There are 3 o-rings but I have no idea where they go. I need to know what gaskets I need and where they go. I assume maybe the small one goes on the pump shaft?

This is so frustrating...why wouldn't they include this gasket in the kit??? Makes no sense.

Where can I find a picture or description of where all the o-rings/gaskets go?

Can anyone help please? Sorry to sound so whiny, but thing like this drive me nuts!!

Thanks!

Here's a link to a photo of the oil pump.

Frankly, none of the o-rings in your photo look like oil pump o-rings but it's hard for me to judge.

I agree that none of the o rings in pic look to be for oil pump. You need a skinnier small o ring for shaft that enters block, and you have to find the paper gasket that are sometimes absent in overhaul kits for some reason.

From what I understand, a gasket & o-ring are supposed to come with the pump, so I'm going to bring it back to Autozone and exchange it for one that has it...hopefully. It looks like the box was opened before, so somebody probably returned it and never put them back in.

Is there supposed to be an 0-ring between the block and the pump (in conjunction with the gasket)?

Thanks guys!

Do yourself a HUGE favor and completely disassemble the pump and d-burr all of the passages with a small dremel tool and completely clean it all in hot water then blow completely dry and re-assemble with assembly lube Never trust an oil pump out of the box

Thanks for the tip! Can I re-use the o-ring in the cover, because I don't have another?
