I pulled my pushrods to get to my lifters, thinking they were bad.... They all look flawless and brand new like they should, But, One of my Pushrods is bent and is Worn away like crazy.. the on next to it has a ring worn into it a little above the middle of it... and then one of the others has a ring worn into it but on the passenger side of the engine..
What am I look at as a culprit here... No more then 800 Miles on the engine. Pics to follow.

Holes in the head are too small. I am guessing you have a bit bigger than original camshaft. Clearance shoulda been checked at assembly. OOPS!

pushrods not the right length = bad rocker arm gyometry, that would be my guess with the info you gave witch wasnt much. hydraulic, solid, adjustable rockerarms?

Hmmm, I was hoping it was something I could fix and not something a machine shop would need to, Hopefully the shop that built it will fit the bill.

is any of the other pushrods worn around in a circle like the one is? if not try another pushrod and see what happens.

Yeah two of the pushrods have the same ring in the same spots.

It's a 360LA with stock heads not sure of the year. Exhaust and intake lift on the cam are 480/480

looks like you have PR to head clearance issues.

some of the older heads have small PR holes that do not like roller lifters and shorter rods and need some grinding for clearance.

you can have the same clearance issue with any of them and should be checked on install.

look at the head in the PR hole to see where you need the grinding.you can do it yourself but the heads need to come off so no shavings are in the engine.

good luck at the machine shop

Scratchin, Would I be using just a drill and bit to widen the holes? Also is it possible to make the holes to-big or is that a non issue?

I'd look close at all the rockers, that they are in correct order.

If you look at the rocker arms the pushrod socket is offset slightly to the right or to the left.... If you look at the pushrod holes in the heads and their relationship to the rocker stands you'll see if assembled correctly the pushrods have clearance, if assembled incorrectly the pushrods are rubbing the sides of the holes... I couldn't find a picture showing proper assembly but I never used one to assemble rocker either, just look at what they need to do to work properly....
