I have been looking all over for a gear to replace the cracked one in my 65 New Yorker, but there are none available. The gear has absolutely no wear, since car was originally owned by a little old lady who obviously did not drive in the rain. It does, however, have a couple of cracks radiating out from the center post. They do not go out very far, looks like plastic shrinkage. Anyways, I figure the best way to repair it is to dremel out the crack with a small ball tool and fill it with epoxy. My question is what type of epoxy to use. This is a white plastic gear, very hard. Any ideas on this? Thanks- Pat
