Hey guys, I have a 98 Dodge Ram 5.2 with 122,000 miles on it. When I am going around 55 mph in overdrive and press on the gas to speed up the truck seems to start missing. When I am out of overdrive it does not do it. Like today driving into the wind, at around 45 mph and then pressing on the gas litely to get to 55 it starts to miss bad. But if I am out of overdrive at a higher rpm and try the same thing no miss. Any ideas?

Thanks Scott!

Whens the last time you did a tune up and cleaned the throttle body.

Wow when I read the thread title I can see where you would think it was stolen. That made me laugh. What would have to be done for a tune up. I just put new plugs in it. What else should be looked at?

Thanks Scott

If wires are originals, I would change them. They can do strange break down symptoms like that.

I agree with plug wires. may want to check routing, and that none of them touch.
I also put tubing around the coil wire on mine.
