do you have tail lights too?

or are they out as well?

could indicate where your power problem is if the tail lights are getting power but your dash lights are not, since they're typically on the same fuse/circuit

Could be the light switch. If you have another to try it would help. Also, a stupid question: Is the fader in the switch turned all the way? If you turn the fader all the way does the dome light come on?

Okay by dimmeryou mean the one on the floor or the one in the dash?
Either way I'd check the other.

Years ago same problem. The rheostat in the panel dimmer died and had bad ground on switch cluster. Bypassed the dimmer, corrected ground issue, and back with lights at max brite. Abandoned non-functional dimmer in place. I used a short piece of 12-2 wire with ends stripped to act as the jumper.

The headlight switch should have a built in dimmer on it, turn the lightswitch shaft to the right, clockwise, to dim and left, counter clockwise, to brighten the dash lights and turn on the dome light

I have the same problem in a dodge ram truck. I have replaced the headlight switch and the dimmer switch. All of the fuses are good and I replaced all of the dash bulbs.
Any Ideas?

Check the output terminal on the light switch for voltage, if good check the circuit board for conductivity, continuity, current flow to the bulbs

in older mopars, they are on the same circuit so you know if your tail lights are not working... - this is the first thing I would check...
