I just bought a 2006 Charger R/T. I want to be able to park my wipers halfway up the windshield so I can stuff a piece of cardboard underneath it at night. That way, I don't have to scrape the windshield in the morning. Every other car I've owned, when you turn the key off, the wipers stop wherever they are at. But in the Charger, this trick doesn't work.
Any way to get around this?

You can simply pull up on the arms and they will stay up off the windshield on their own.

I need the wipers to stop halfway thru their arc, instead of parking in the down position.

Not on my LX, the wiper arms hit the hood if they're parked.

I'm not being clear, let me start over.

I want to stop my wipers halfway through their travel, by turning off the ignition key. With the wipers resting on the windshield as usual. So I can tuck a flat piece of cardboard under the wiper blade, and use the wiper blade to hold it there, instead of blowing away with the wind.
I come out in the morning, I take the cardboard away, and voila! no frost to scrape.
With all the other cars I've owned, I just turn off the ignition key at the right time, and the wiper stays right there.
With this Charger, I can't do that. The wipers always return to the off position, no matter when I pull out the ignition key.
Any way to get around this?

Try having your door open when you turn the key off. Not sure if it will work or not but worth a try

My bad. I thought you were trying to keep the blade off the windshield so that it wouldn't freeze on. I understand what you want now. As posted above, you could try opening the door after you turn the key to off and the wipers are mid-travel. It may shut power to them as it does to the radio.
Good luck!

have you tried turning off the car and pulling the key out?

not just turning it off.

I agree, you can also try opening the door too.

There might be a programable mode that keeps the accessory power on after the key is turned off, check your owners manual for instructions to shut it off.
