I am about to order a 3 inch X pipe system from TTI. I want to put electric cutouts on it and was wondering the best pace to install. I was looking at the midway point between the "X" and the muffler.
Would that be the ideal place?
Also has anyone had experience with the Summit racing elec. cutouts? Anygood?
And last can I put the system together using the SS band clamps so I can disassemble in the future if needed.
ANYONE!!??

I put mine here. I ordered an extra section from TTI and welded them in.

I run QTP's on two of my cars. Welded them in on both. One of them has a 3" TTI exhaust on it (71 B).

Thnx for the pics guys!! I see the best place is as close the the header as possible.
I am surprised TTI doesn't offer a X or H pipe set up for cut outs. When I call to order I will tell them my plans and see what they suggest!
Thnx

The Summit cutouts look like they are supplied by QTP..
And some have reported that these eventually leak..
Suggest that you check our the Doug Thorley cutouts...
They are more $ but are more robust built and the exit gate slides back/forth driven by a Daytron reduction motor.

Just my $0.02..
