About 8 feet actually. I have a relay box in both cars. One has the pump in the trunk and the other has it in the front by the cell.

My battery is in the trunk, relay is right next to it, and the fuel pump is mounted on the frame rail right under the battery.

Mine are close too. I'm running 2 - 40 amp relays to reduce the electrical load on each one of them.
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

it's worth noting that if people insist on using relays you should switch the relay to ground to operate it that way you don't have another positive circuit running through the car and the potential short that goes with it
I knew thats where you were going with this on your last post. Thats how mine is.
But set up that way, you want to utilize a master cut off.
