yes,its a harwood--i had this 6pack hood laying around--not useing it so i incorporated it together--since i had to have a new "forward facing" scoop.
i;ll finish up the fiberglass work on it in 2 weeks

i LOVE the cowl hood but it was killing my topend speed(MPH)
i would run 5.60 @ 123----8.90 @ 151---1/8 was good but my top speed should be around 155----it was choking for air on the big end
both hood mount the same--so i can switch at any time

Did you ever try covering the vent in front of the windshield? All the air goes down the vent before getting into the cowl hood if you don't cover it.

I put a big scoop like that on my Barracuda in place of SS Scoop, and I hate it hard to see over and looks to big for car, I infact was looking at a 6in cowl, did not see any differance in ET

Scoop copulation? It's just too many scoops for 1 car.

No, I am not a fan of the combo look.
To me it looks like (no fan), painted or not. Not to be rude but you did ask.
Id rather see it with a Chevy Cowl than that.

Just my , its your car.

I went 9.10 @ 150 mph, NA with a cowl hood, though my scoop does extend quite a bit farther back than yours. I would be curious to see what difference your new hood makes if you are able to run the hoods back to back sometime.

[image]http://s1126.photobucket.com/user/nhramark1/library/Racing[/image] 9.100 @ 150 mph 5.780 @ 120 mph

like i said--i love the cowl hood--but when i took my motor to be "freshened up" @ BES the first thing they asked was "do i have a forward faceing scoop" ????
so--since i have time--i made this to see what will happen--this stuff was just sitting around collecting dust--so why not use it.
the cowl is a 6" cowl and this is not much bigger--and it gives the car a new and different (than everybody elses) look.

Is the motor in the car still offset like stock? If so it doesn't look like you offset the new scoop to match the carb center Any reason for that

there's plenty of room inside the scoop for the 1600 cfm dom.
yes the motor is off center just a little.
