Does anyone remeber a 1964 Plymouth Maxwedge car raced out of Dayton Ohio owned & driven by Charlie Frazier. It was two tone blue dark at the bottom lighter at the top, blue interior. I went and looked at it today still owned by his daughter with 2,200 miles on it race car from day one. If you have any Vintage race pictures of it please post them or email them to me Thanks Brian mobishop440@netzero.net

I'm going to try to post this. I've got a new computer & haven't figured it all out yet. If I can't I'll e-mail it. A friend of mine thats into chevy's was taking the pics as I was too busy racing my own car. I thought I had it turned right. Guess I'll go school myself again.

I vaguely remember that car from 1978-79, looks like a nice piece but you could build a clone for NSS with engine and trans for less than they are asking. For NHRA S/S I would find a complete running car for that money. For a collector car..forget it...missing too many parts.
and I just happen to have a '64 Savoy clone that's all new.

Charley had two. He bought mine in 1986 and raced it some. One sold last year. The other was a hardtop, this one has the post as did mine. It also looks like this has the scoop and his other one didn't. Moprod has a pic of the other one. After looking at the add, I don't think this is the one I sold him, (ex Flack & Comstock, Plum Crazy).I see a couple of little things that make me think this. For what its worth, mine had both steel and aluminum front ends that went with the car when Charlie bought it.

Here's a photo I have of one of Charlies cars. When I talked to him a few years back I thought he said he had two sedans(post) cars. Not sure which one this is. I heard Charlie passed away. FYI, Alex

Great pic, I see Jerry Daily's SS/AA and Bob Marshall's trailer. Aquamist60, I was there too at BG in '79, we were at the campground and it rained so hard all our stuff was soaked, I had a street car and 4 of us piled into it and went into town to find a cheapo hotel, 2 guys got single beds and 2 were on the floor, at least it was dry. Sometime during the night, the desk ringed us and asked if we were racers, they said they were pulling cars and trailers out of the track because the water was rising, we went back into the rain after a few hours sleep, the other guys found thier stuff pulled up to the entrance road. It took a long time to dry the track, we were over at the go-cart track in the afternoon spending our get-home gas money when one of our track team-mates wives came over and told us, "they are starting eliminations!" We hoofed it over there and I barely made the first round. It was too bad because I made it to 4th or 5th round and got no money, didn't get home until 1:00 AM Monday morning, it was OK because I was a college student and probably skipped classes and slept all day... Here is the junkpile I had back then, pics are from '80 when they moved the meet over to Indy.

After looking at Bob Rogers pic, I may be wrong on the hard top vs, coup thingie. any help?
Frito, Know anything about the front end damage in your pic? I'm pretty sure that happened at KilKare while Charlie was sitting in the waterbox. I think it was a Camaro that backed into him. If you knew Charlie at all then you knew just how ugly that night ended.
