I am swapping a 318/904 to a 340/727. I should say I'm paying to have this swap done. The 340 and 727 were together at one time, but they were dressed down and striped when I got them.
I'm trying to find out if the crossmember from the 904 will mount the 727 or do I need to locate one? If so, where is the place to buy?
Are the Brackets from the 318 for the alternator and power stering pump the same?
Will the power streering pump from the 318 work on the 340?
Is there a source to get motor mounts for the 340?
I have a floor shift, with the linkage from the 904 hook up to the 727 or is that different?
Any help, would be sweet...............Thx Scott

Do you have to reverse the cross member as the lengths of the 904 and 727 were different iirc. I do know that the 3 and 4 speeds are different and require a different cross member.
No, mount pointis the same.

What he said . He will need a shorter driveshaft if that wasn't already mentioned .
