If Mopar offered the original 14" trim ring again through the license program and the quality was good, what interest is there? Trying to understand the business case here. This part would come from original Chrysler tooling that has been slightly re-worked due to storage life damage.

Depends on price. I need a set of rings for my rallyes but I would quickly lose interest if they were priced at $100ea.

Do you know that the 14 inch trim ring #2875758 is special for 1969 because it has a lip on the inner part of the ring. This is the trim ring that should be in demand for Charger Daytona & 500 models (really all 69 models). Galen says it is held on by 4 clips on the back.

Do you know what years the tooling would be for. 1969 or 1970 and up? I personally think the 1969 trim ring would be in high demand. I've seen my share of '69 Mopars with the wrong ones.

The 70-71 style would also be in good demand, all 14.00 trim ring applications used the same rings; B,E, & A body and the current reproduction is off by a country mile in the valve stem cut out area.

I would be interested but for what it is worth people are offering to refinish originals for $55 each.

Who does this and where are they located? I contacted about 2 dozen stainless steel resto shops two years ago when I was trying to get my original 69 trim rings done and no one would touch them. I ended up restoring them myself and bought a bunch of tools and restoration items through Eastwood and spend about 40-60 hrs on each (times 4) for my car. I still have a second set of them that still need to be restored and I would gladly pay $55 each to have them redone.

I could use two for a '69 GTX but would buy a set of four (4) without hesitation if they were O.E. correct......and if they were made in the USA or Canada it's a no brainer IMO

With trim ring installed, put wheel on balancer to spin it. Apply scotch brite pad = brushed finish. DON'T HOLD THE SCOTCH BRITE PAD WITH YOUR HAND!!! (You might lose a finger!)

Do they remove dings on the face of the trim ring for that price?

I need a set for my 73 Challenger.

The rings are double walled. If there are dents, it makes it kind of hard to get in there to pound them out.
