IN your original design that you made the bracket for, did you say there as a version with the bleeder on top?

Do you mean the HYD TB or the slave cylinder design? The Keisler HYD TB does not have a bleeder on it, the Tiltson (sp?) does have a bleeder on it. All of the slave cylinders I have seen including the 2 I have (both purchased from speedway) have top mounted bleeders.

I think this is the application:
1990 Nissan 300ZX

Commando, how did you handle the contact point of the slave cyl push rod to the clutch fork?

Can someone tell me if the Throwout bearing should contact the fingers on the pressure plate, or should there be an air gap between them?

What do you mean by adj a hyd bearing?
If you install it correct you should never need to adj again

what I meant was that in some Hyd systems you have to adjust the spacing of the TB with relation to the PP which is difficult to do outside of the car. Also, bleeding an enclosed system can be a challenge.

While the engine is turning you do not want the throwout bearing to be contacting the fingers of the pressure plate. It needs just a tiny bit of clearance.

I replace the slave's push rod with Grade 5 threaded rod (very hard to find) and used the nut, washer, grommet, spring, and clip/washer out of a regular clutch adjuster kit. For the end of the threaded rod that goes into the slave, I ground it to a smooth round tip.

The T.O. bearing should have a .010 gap between it and the fingers on the clutch.

It CAN'T be done out of the car.

No. It's as simple as bleeding brakes. Easier, in fact.

I want to figure out if there is an adaptor to mate the stock hydro bell to the BB engine.

I converting my truck to 5 speed with this v-6 hydro bell with the A535 trans.

seems they hook a 904 to a Bb so a SB bell should be able to adapt maybe??

this 5 speed replaced the a535 and it should also bolt in where a 833/833OD fits with floor pan/crossmember change to go hydro clutch with stock mopar parts.

this truck v-6 bell has 2 trans bolt patters

looks like the a535 trans has the same bolt patter as a 883/833od or the new granny 4-5 speeds.

you can even move the slave to pass side for more header/starter/exhaust room.

If I can not get this to bolt to a BB,then maybe I can fab a slave like commando on a RB bell and fit the 5 speed to it in place of the 833/833od trans.

anyone got a like to SB to BB adaptors??
