Has anyone ran the World block and used the external oiling pickup point at the front of the block? Did anyone run a power steering pump and run into interference with line going into the block? A pick would be nice....Thanks Tim

NO exp w world blocks but if they have the rear oiling gallery taps at the top rear like regular blocks an option might be to tap there & rear feed oil into the rearmost pedestal(s) which I've done on regular blocks

I ran the World block in my 67 Coronet; was going to use the external line but with headers and power steering; I wound up using the internal pickup. I now have the 512 in a d150 frame; here is a pix with a saginaw power seering setup

I was running a federal pump in the Coronet and it sat a lot lower than the saginaw does.

I have a world block with a dual line swinging pickup going into a Charlies pan with power steering. The front oil feed clears the PS pump just fine but the lower rad hose is close....but it all fits.

FWIW, the single line to the front was showing some eratic oil pressure fluctuations at high rpm on the dyno so the decision was made to go to a dual line setup and that cured the problem. I've had the car down the track several times and oil pressure is rock solid at all times.

I had to run the oil lines over top of the steering box and underneath the headers. Also had to notch out the bracing on the k-member to clear the rear exit fitting off the oil pump. I'm running a re-inforced stock motor mount.

No pics in the car but here are some of the engine on the stand after the dyno tune and prior to being installed in the car.
