340 SIX PACK intake didn't exist during the '69 model year - 340 4-spd a-body should have torque-boxes.

Give us more specs on the car including the fender tag info.

Trim is L2B so low line bench seat in blue. R11 is AM 2-watt radio. Very late build car, don't see many in B7! I love 4-speed Swingers with NO options, wonder why the guy wanted a radio?

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

I went and looked at this car 5 or 6 years ago and it had a correct and origonal T/A challenger 6 pack on it at the time. Was blue with a white stripe, Nice car but he didn't want to sell it. He swore it was all factory and like some folks you can't tell them the truth.

The guy probably beloved there was once a 440 hemi in 1970 valiants also. When you have someone who does not know what they are selling and not listening to actual proof on the item, just leave and let them enjoy their fantasy ride.

Evaluate the car for what it is disregarding the six pack setup. It sounds like he's had this argument about the originality of the six pack for years. So it's pointless to get in another argument about it.

1) Investigate and take pictures to find out exactly what six pack setup is on it. Like is it and original T/A-AAR setup with the wide lip top lid? Is it and original date intake and carbs? Then find out what that is worth used.

2) And original 69 340 4spd carb is probably around 200-250 used, $35 rebuild kit, and an intake is $100.

1) minus 2) is what you can add to the value of the car. Or even if you don't go stock a used Performer RPM intake and new carb is about $400.

Be polite and come up with a price that fits the market for this car or what you can afford. If he refuses, move on. But don't burn the bridge he might call you back some day, because you are the only one that believed him.

This isn't a car that I've heard about, but that's not surprising as most of the time I'm not looking around to see what's out there. The tone of this does sound like a certain guy I am familiar with...........Like said, check the dates on the intake and carbs.

It is very possible that a dealer installed it, possibly even to sell the car new (my 68 GTS with an SPD of 8/28/67 was first sold in May 1969, so if this one sat into the 1970 model year anything is possible). The six pack only adds its actual value to the value of the car. Sounds like it would be a fun car........

Does he have any documentation to back this claim up from the dealer or Edlebrock ?

I talked with him on the phone about this car today, sounds like a cool car but the owner painted it purple throughout, so it ruined it for me. B7 is such a rare color on 69 Darts and this being such a late built car would have been awesome! As said above, it is just a hot rod now and may look cool purple with a sixpak, but not worth what he is asking for it.
