I have a complete Hotchkis suspension system for an E Body Im building.

I do not have the shocks yet.

I see these Bilsteins on the Hotchkis website:

http://www.hotchkis.net/rcd_shocks_dodge_a_e_body_4_pack_stock_height_cars.html

Should I get these, or are there any better choices out there?

Or a choice that gets you more bang for the buck?

From what I have heard on this site whenever people buy the TVS and the Blistens is that they absolutely love the ride. Some people have also just bought the Blistens by themselves and said it greatly improved their handling. Let's wait for more people to chime in.

Not really a better choice for bang for the buck.

What is your intentions for the vehicle?

If you want to make it an ultimate dedicated full time track car, you can spend $4K on a set of shocks and then go UP from there. But you will have to have the rest of the vehicle up to that level to take advantage of them.

To what level? Do you just have a TVS System?

$4K+ shocks would be on an racecar or almost racecar with full rollcage, race tires, etc etc.

Yes, I meant the the TVS system. All is done to that level.

I went a bit further and added through the floor connectors, I also replaced the rocker panels with thicker gauge fabricated rockers, I also braced the front clip from behind the inner fenders (kinda like the things XV sells but a bit more robust and better tied). My connectors go through the trans crossmember and onto the front clip. I also added a lower radiator reinforcement with square tubing. I have also added extra spot weld throughut the body.

I will weld the K frame shut.

Also, I will install a firm feel stage 3 box.

I wanted to keep the car looking "stock".

Ill post some pics...

For that the Bilsteins are a good match.

What size torsion bars?

What size front a rear tires?

What motor?

I have RCD Bilsteins from Hotchkis, but shorter ones on front and stock length on rear.
I'm happy but i can't really compare to anything exept the old ones.
You don't need those tall ones if you don't have a raised vehicle.
Lifted from K-member for the pic, seems long enough? Tires are 235/60/15 and sorry for crappy pic.

Hey all,

Thanks for the nice words and support about Hotchkis products and the Bilstein shocks we offer for stock and lowered height Mopars. These specific shocks are very well-engineered and work great in the optimum compression and rebound range for the application. So you can’t go wrong with getting shocks we’ve confirmed and matched to our TVS kit. We have more autocross wins than any other early Mopar suspension aftermarket suspension company, so they’re not only suggested…they’re proven!

Considering how tip-everyone-out-the-windows my car is with brand-new Monroes, I don't doubt these would improve a stock suspension, too...

I had the Yellow monroes on a Challenger and I always felt that the ride was too harsh....but oh well, we do have bad roads down here. On the highway it felt fine, but I never did some serious handling tests to the car....it was all stock suspension otherwise.

I can say with all the stock suspension I did find the ride with the stock style shocks a LOT nicer and enjoyable. Cruising mode of course.
