I'm replacing a pitted T-bar with one I've had from a parted Duster. Question is does the CTJ/893L go to the front or to the back?

don't think it makes any difference, but I always put it in the back so it can be seen.

If you think you need a tool, you can cut a couple of pieces of 2x4 and clamp them around the tb with a some bolts.
Normally, I take the nut off the strut rod and loosen the bolt on the control arm.
Remove the retaining clip on the back end of the tb, then tap the control arm backward at the wheel end and beside the control arm bolt-which will normally push the tb out of its socket...then tap the arm forward and that should remove it from the tb on the front end. Putting a piece of wood on the arm where you are going to hit it will stop from scarring the paint.

Hello: The tool you clamp on from Mancini works well..however I suggest you get some grade 8 bolts to replace the ones that came with it. Especially if you use it a lot...those 1/4 inch bolts don't last long.

Still should be a whole lot cheaper than the Miller tool piece even if I have to buy the extra bolts.

a large pair of Vice Grips and 2 halves of the proper size tubeing will work just as well as a 350 $$ tool..
