Whiskyrunner and I went to the last race of the season at Pittsburgh Raceway Park and ran a couple of new bests with the 408. Matt wanted to try his hand at box racing today so he was today's driver. He broke into the 9's with a 9.98@130.25mph the eight mile time was 6.26@107.42mph. 60' time was a 1.34 He lost in the second round today as the wind made dialing a little tricky. Over all I am happy with the performance with this combo. I think the power glide transmission is hurting some but its very consistent. We are running 93 octane gas mixed with one gallon of 110. ( 4-1 ratio) I plan on building another stroker as a backup for next year going with higher compression and a bigger cam.
1970 Duster Edelbrock headed 408 5.984@112.52 422 Indy headed small block 5.982@112.56 mph 9.42@138.27

Congrats Despite the weight, it does run good for a fairly mild motor. These small blocks never cease to amaze me. Mick
