Jamie those are unGodly heavy but have considered them. Did you notice better braking going from std 10" to them?

when i went from 10x2 to 11x2.5 on my 68dart with the 73 disc front I noticed a big diff in brakeing power and distance.

never locked them up and it would stop short and give change.

heavy, yes, but the stoping distance alone was worth the extra weight IMHO

try a 440 with 9' drums on all 4 corners,go to next town turn around drive slowly back to stop sign

PM me. I have a set I'm never going to use.

I even took 9" drums off my Slant car because it was spooky to try and stop at the track.

I think I have some 11"x3" drums out in the shed.

Dulcich said to use smaller wheel cylinders on my A body to keep from having lock up problems.

Cop[ spec Diplomats have them too. I upgraded my 87 Diplomat from 10.87" disc/10" drums to 11.75 disc/11" drums, big different in stopping distances.

Drums and shoes are easy, the backing plates on the other hand...
Year One sells them if you want to pay big $$$$. Unless you happen to be headed to a big swap meet next week, the salvage yard is going to be your best alternative.

I have several sets. C-bodies and trucks usually had them.
I have them on my 72 SSP 440 with disc up front. Real happy with them.
I've never seen a 11x3 on the rear, just on the front.

I think I have a couple complete pairs of 11 x 3" rear brakes.

One has 5 x 4 1/2" bolt pattern, the other has 5 x 5". Because 5" pattern 3" rear drums were standard on '60s Imperials, the large pattern drums are much more common than the 5 x 4 1/2" version.

I have several sets as well. Looks like you need not spend big money at year one, or go to junk yards.
There are three people right here that have offered.

Slantzilla from Ill. near you

moparmark from Colo. a little farther

bboogieart from Wisc. in between the two, distance wise

looks like you came to the right place. just send a couple pm's and get yer best deal.

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.
