Okay so the time has come for me to start putting the motor together for my Dart. What I have right now is a 3/4 filled 400, with 440-1 heads, 9 to 1 static with good rods and crank at 4.15. Haven't pick a cam as of yet, but I'm try to decide weather or not I should run one big single or run dual turbos. The fender wells are cut out for headers so I was going to mount the duals right there. I dont know enough about them to figure this one out for myself. Its 3,300lbs dana, spool ladder bars, full cage, but its going to be driven on the street as well as the track. More so on the street. I'm not looking to set it on kill right now, and not with that block. So come on guys give me a hand as I'm going to start buying some parts with in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for the help...

My If there are singles big enough (there are)to do the job, it would be simpler and less complicated to go single. The fewer number of parts involved, wastegates, gaskets, blowoffs, oil supplies/drains,turbos,associated cold side pipes, etc.,the fewer parts there are to give trouble/fail.

i'm putting together almost the same thing as you, except im less stroke and comp with a set of Victors, putting twin 76mm on my valiant, and will make WAY more power than a stock block will handle at max boost, mainly cause i like the packaging better, prob try and keep mine under 18lbs, as far as twins or a single, if you shop around a twin set up can be built cheaper! because a Big 114 or bigger will cost as much as all the other parts put together, it really comes down to how much power you want to make, an WHAT YOU REALLY WANT, im shooting for 950 and keeping it very streetable, and to all the sceptics it can and will work, wrench rat built a 355 chevy with two 67mm and it made 936rwhp with a water meth injection, it was in the April 2011 copy of Car Craft, good luck with your build.

The twins vs single debate generally comes down to packaging. What's easier for you to fit in your car?
Many times the pricing between the two isn't far off.
