I am going to be replacing the front pump seal on my 67 Dodge and meant to grab the seal before I left for work. I need to make a seal installer to install it with out removing the pump.
If somebody could measure the inner and outer dia of the seal and also how long the input shaft is would be a great help. While your at it could you measure the output shaft seal too, might as well do that one too. I'm off for the next 9 days and don't want to have to buy anything for the job.
Thank you, Jeff

I always just used a piece of wood and a hammer and tapped it in going around the diameter to make sure it goes in even.

I do have a mopar 727 front pump seal for mine,I just picked it up at the dealer

I have the part # for it and I have the part #s for the shift selector seal and the TP valve seal, new style pan gasket all from the dealer on the bench in the shed for this weekends project.

I can post them up if needed

no thanks, I have all the parts but thanks anyway. I wasn't sure if it would go in that easy but it doesn't sound like it'll be a problem.
Thanks guys

X2 & just pack the back recess of both of em full of vaseline to keep the spring in place as it's driven in and the vaseline melts out and is compatible with and causes no probs with the tranny fluid
