Looks great!!! Doesn't look like there is any rust. What are the details on the drivetrain and color. One of my favorite B-bodies

Baddest stock blueprinted Hemi i`m capable of building, column shift auto, Black exterior with black bench seat interior, red stripe and redline tires. Because of the solid cam, light weight and rear overhang I believe this car is the sharpest tool the Mopar camp has in it`s shed for Pure Stock/Factory Stock racing. We will see..

Wow I miss dry sheetmetal. That's a really clean start. That thing is so solid it makes me want to crush my car since I'm picky.

Dave,
Do you feel that the air grabber is not worth the weight or are there other weight differences between the 68s and 69s?

I`d say the Air Grabber is not worth the weight, I always wished i could pull it off the Roadrunner but the rules of FAST would not allow it, at this time i`m unsure of the other differences but the NHRA stock class has the 69 about 100lbs heavier than a 68.

Thanks,
I've often wondered about that. I guess I should have said ramcharger instead of air grabber since it's a Dodge.
Another question I have is about the black paint and interior. Black is my favorite color on any vehicle but I wonder if the reflective qualities of a lighter color would be beneficial to keep the car cooler? In other words, would a light colored car ET better?

I think a good coat of wax on the paint will allow the car to cut the wind better so that will offset the heat retention of the paint color.

But to be honest with you...you might have a point there. I know many stock, super stock racers don't paint there engines just for that very reason.

....there is nothing like driving my 1968 Hemi Dart around town and having people looking at you like you're nuts!!

I agree that the Ramcharger's benefit doesn't offset the added weight. No the paint color of the car doesn't make any difference.
