Excuse my ignorance once again on the 99 Hemi:

Can the two bolt rocker stand heads be converted to use the four bolt stands?

Also, will the 99 Hemi heads bolt to a KB, Indy or World aluminum block?

Thanks,
Mike Gray

No and no.

If you are planning on going this route, get the latest 4 bolt stand heads. The single and two bolt stand heads are cheap for a reason.

For blocks you are either stuck with the pro stock block or need to go to a billet one

Thanks! That's what I thought on both questions, just wanted to verify.

The PS engines ran the 99 stuff through 2005 into 2006. Is the new stuff better? Yes it is stiffer, That being said, the old stuff works fine when properly maintained.

06 Hemi

FWIW you have the answers there Mike. I have been taking a crash course myself and found a couple of really good resouorces and learned alot already. I have also been poking around asking about possibilities and it seems 550" really is about the limit with these blocks, just not a lot of room there. But if you go billet...I am trying to decide what to do if the Hot Street thing goes away. If that happens I think we will be going to a power adder set up and maybe try the 8.5 class. But will see what happens.
