Since you already have a carb, why not tell us what it's doing so we can try and help you?
Have you checked for vaccum leaks?
I want my fair share

Exactly, Give us a rundown on what the rest of the combination is,and what is going on with it. Keith

Take 1,000 guys and: 495 will say "Holley" 495 will say "Edelbrock: 10 will say "other" You can make your Holley work perfectly. I suggest buying a book.
i agree. i think for the average guy, the holley is a better strip carb and the edelbrock is a better street carb. but to someone who really knows their stuff, the two can run neck and neck.
but most people agree that the edelbrock is an easier carb to tune and adjust, although there are times with certain combinations that it can get tricky: the right step up spring with the right rods and jets.

I have a 700 double Pumper built by a professional and I'm having nothing but problems with it will a edelbrock perform as good? Thx Mike
How about some information. What problem are you having? What engine combination? What application?
You may want to chassis dyno the car with a wide band O2 sensor to get an idea where the A/F ratio is at different RPM's and loads.

In an ideal world where we all live next door to everything and have unlimited resources, yes. For the other 99% of us, it's not necessary to go to that extreme. You can get it running right with a little help.

Next time you are at the track, check out the cars.. Next count the # of Holleys and Edelbrocks.. One will find many more Holleys... Wonder why.. Also if running a big cam with low vacuum, the Edelbrock is very difficult to dial in.. Just my $0.02...
