Do you think a pair of BW S400's would be too big and laggy for a 500CI Street/Strip motor that would have to run on pump fuel on the street? Im thinking about 9.5-10:1 compression. What do you think? Or would I be better off with one big turbo? Looking for something to put a 87 Long box Dakota into the low 9's high 8's

Thanks

Thinking either a set of Edelbrocks or B1's

the Eddy's will get you where you want to be, 500ci and B1s will support a pair of pro mod 88s, the B1s alone can make more power than a stock block can handle.

We have two 68.7mm Garretts in our 477. They work pretty well up to over 6000 rpm although they are slightly on the small side for the rest of the engine. However, the lag is almost non existent. If you can get the engine to wake up with the twin S400's, you should have no problem with your ET goals. Our C-body runs 8.5 off idle with DOT tires. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUV_PuIySjQ

IMO, I would stick with one single turbo with T6 flange. With a big motor, you can easily spool an 88mm turbo and be good for about 1200-1300 HP.
