One thing I like about the centrifugal blowers is that you can run a inner cooler easier... yes they make coolers for the roots also... but the roots blowers get the big WOW factor... I still have a 8-71 sitting in the shop that I was going to put on my 440 in my 38 Ply street rod

Good Info everyone. But what about Cam selection? I've been reading about the careful selection of the camshaft when looking into the ProChargers, etc, but is cam selection with a Roots style blower equally important?
Any pressurized induction needs the wider LSA to keep the over lap down(wider meaning in the 114 or so)

Thanks P.
Drag345, I like your setup. I've been looking around and I haven't found many Mopar specific kits. Am I better to fab an adapter for my current intake (Weaind Stealthon my 360) similar to how you've done your adaptor?
Anyone know of any other complete kit sources for small block Mopar?

I was going to cut off a tunnel ram and weld a plate on it for my small blocks to run a roots 8-71 which I have but its on a 440 type manifold... I know I could buy a SB manifold to mount it on but I dont use the TR anymore... I bought the blower to go on my 38 ply but it wont fit under the hood and I dont want to cut the hood

When I called I talked to Don himself! He is very helpful no BS. Mark http://hamptonblowers.com/I should add that this is a modified single four intake. It has been milled open, and has an adapter for the blower. I have pictures if needed.

A centrifugal will have less temp rise per psi than a roots.

how big of a blower do you want?
My car is mostly a street driver that will see SOME strip time. I want the most that I can get out of the smallest single carb blower that I can fit under a cowl hood. So, I wanna fit something that sits low enough on the engine that doesn't protrude out. It won't be a deal breaker if I can't keep it all stuffed inside but really preferably I'd like to keep it all covered.
Here's the next part that I know I'm gonna get lectured on, but I'd like a good 500-525 hp engine with cast internals. If I control detonation and don't go crazy on the boost, would this still be do-able? Especially if I'm only going around the 500 hp range???
