I have a Autometer speedo and the factory cable will not bolt up to the back of the gauges. What I need is a cable with both ends that screw in instead of one side slipping on. Anyone else run into this problem. What cable did you use? I have a sb 727 by the way. Thanks

A cable from a '66 will work. Got an Autometer speedo in my '66 Charger and it hooked right up.

If you want to go the cheap route, you can get a cable for a 66 dart at Kragen Auto or something, it is threaded at both ends (I have a 904 though) for like $10. It is 80" long though, which is a little on the long side. A more expensive but better fitting one can be ordered from www.imperialservices.net

Got one from Lokar. It was a cut to fit. Worked great.

I just swapped in a set of Autometer gauges in the Duster a couple months ago. O'Riellys had a speedometer cable for a 67 B-Body that has the proper ends on it to screw onto the gauge. And I think it was less than $12. I don't have the part number or the box it came in, but it shouldn't be hard to find.
