68 Dart with built 440.

Looking for a decent set of Headers 2 1/2 to 3" reasonable price.
Hoping to find ones that clear evrything fairly well.
Ones I can get to the plugs without wanting to kill myself.

Anyone have any recomendations?

TTI's would be what you are looking 4 but are pricey. Not sure if the collector is 3 or 3.5" on those

Bob Mazzolini sells the Pro Parts style headers that work pretty well.

Nautilus Racing-
We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.

The only cheap A-body headers are the Hedman 78030 for B-bodies. Very little if any massaging required. The problem is, they only fit with low-deck blocks... probably not worth trying with an RB.

Hooker makes fenderwell headers which get in the way of everything (tires, ground...)

Depending on how "built" your 440 is, would anyone recommend the Tri-Y's (Schumacher)?

I put chromed Schumachers on our 440 73 Dart in 2001, they are now very rusty.
Most of the time it has set im my Garage in Dallas and ony has been driven probably 7500 miles in the 10 years.
BUT the Schus are a good fit and have never been any issue.

Motor is a 72 400 block stroked and built.
So your saying use B Body headers in my A Body 68 Dart will fit with no issues?

pass side drops in w only a slight contact on the collector which is easily solved. Dr side needs extensive mods on #3 #5

Hooker fenderwell headers will run .010 faster in the quarter than regular headers. Of course you'll have to cut the inner fenders.

For a street car where every last 10th isn't a concern, Schumachers will give you the least headaches. If chrome is a concern you can his bare unit coated. I coated my own with a product from Techline Coatings.
