Short answer, take it back.... Nason is the low line Dupont product...

I use Dupont and Nason all the time. Nason...It's a good alternative to the top of the line stuff.
I'd recomend Dupont 2510 DTM epoxy primer and I use feather fill poly primer by Evercoat on top of my dupont primer, then another coat of 2510 on top of that as a sealer, then lately I've been shooting Nason BC/CC. It's OK paint and looks good when done. Some of my Nason paint jobs are approaching 5 years now and it is holding up good.
It's not all bad, but not top of the line, can you afford top of the line? I think it's better than PPG Omini line, that stuff is like water.
I'm shooting big trucks with lot's of paint, I don't need or want the premier paint.
I did a tailgate and fender on a pickup truck yesterday.

Take it back and spend a little more for the good stuff. I cheaped out when painting my 510 and now after 6 years its showing all sorts of marks in the finish. Mind you it is outdoors all year and not covered. This was there single stage enamel.

I do have to point out that BC/CC is more durable than single stage paint. Should have used a urethane additive, it helps a lot.

OK here is my I have no idea what nason is but I am a PPG guy and I also use their value line which was OMNI and is now SHOPLINE. However as far as the epoxy primer, I use the shopline all the time or the Omni when it was that brand, as I believe that the expoxy primer for the brands that house or use both are basically the same. You cant prove it but thats my take. I see no difference in the expensive PPG epoxy primer and the cheaper of the same by shopline, both made by PPG mind you. Now, I dont care for dupont, thats just me, but if your going to use Dupont paint, then the epoxy primer would probably be fine. Remember its just epoxy primer, the finish is in the topcoat primer and like above I use the Evercoat AND block the heck out of it and then use what ever topcoat I am using. I will tell you that I am impressed with the SHOPLINE for most of my projects. Now on the Cuda vert, I shot it in PPG two stage years ago. I had a buddy re shoot it a few years ago to make it a bit nicer and I used (as he reccomended) STANDOX. Its a great paint. RUMBLON

I took these wheels and tires off thepickup this morning. Dismounted the tires and sand blasted them bare. Put them in Dupont 2510 DTM epoxy primer all by lunch time. Then shot them in argent silver in PPG lacquer that I had on the shelve now for about 5 years. I was getting nervous and afraid it was going bad. To tell you the truth it sprayed kinda funny today? I think the paint may be going bad, 5 years old. Anyway I got em done and ready for the tire mounting and balancing. They should look nice with Mopar argent silver!! You really have to know your stuff when you spray 3 kinds of paint by 2 different suppliers in one day. I sprayed BC/CC, single stage urethane cat acrlic enamel and lacquer all today. My messy paint mixing table. Also did some stuff in gloss black today and did my new WV 15X10" wheels I got for my 74.

I've used Nason epoxy before and didn't have any problems. I've used a couple of other brands and none really stood out from the others. I probably wouldn't use Nason color or clear for a high dollar car but I've used it successfully for more 'everyday' jobs (color only, Transtar clear). It dies not cover as well as Dupont's more expensive lines but I always seal with the same valueshade as called for if I was using Chromabase and it works fairly well. I also use Nason for single stage jobs as that's all that is available at my supplier since they quit selling Centari. I painted the car pictured below using Nason epoxy primer , Transtar DTM high build primer, Chromabase base coat, and Transtar High Gloss clear. (Base and clear provided by customer). Dallas

Usually there is not much difference between brands with epoxy primers ,some are thicker and require more reducer or have slightly different sheen when dry.As for Basecoat,Nason is the lowest of the low IMO,requires 5 or more coats to get decent coverage, while Wanda,Matrix,Pro-Spray do it in two coats.I like using Matrix and Wanda base and Matrix AG-40 High-solids clear.I use Evercoat G2 primer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with mixing brands, I've been doing it for well over 20 years and guarantee my work for life,if I had problems, I wouldn't mix brands or wouldn't warranty.
