Talk to Weldon Pumps. Just put one of their in line A600-A on my car...self priming and sooo quiet. You can mount it horizontal, vertical, anyway you want.
that's a sweet looking pump but waaay to rich for my blood! i'll stick to my noisy Carter and crank up the tunes!

I hear ya...not cheap. Until I went to EFI, I ran the Mallory 140 pump. Also very quiet.

unless the pump is designed to be a puller, it will live longer being gravity fed plane and simple.
I put the efi pump on my fury in the rear torque box area, OEM fuel line ran right through there and was a nice cubby to put it

I pulled my 2 EFI pumps from a Mercedes S500, they were mounted in a rubber suspended box behind the rear axle, like a fuel pump scrodum....and I doubt you can hear those running. If you run Holley style loud pumps, mount them from those rubber insulators and use short rubber sections of fuel line to and from to keep their vibrations from your chassis, and keep them at or lower than the fuel level line.
