That's a good idea but rock chips may be harder to fix. Anyone remember Imron? It was developed for truck chassis. Hard to touch up, although I can recall when it was THE paint for show cars.

Bed liner?
My 74 challenger has Imron paint on it from 1984, has held up very well. Like what was said, prep is more important that what paint.
IMO I would not dip it because it will make it very hard to clean out all the acid because of the way there welded togeather. I have had great durability by blasting and painting with Eastwood Chassis Black, that's some good stuff out of a spray can.
I have got one that I did over 10 years ago with reg Eastwood Chassis black and is holding up great. I have another that I did 6 years ago that is even better. No reason to powder coat and have it rust inside from dipping. My Poweder coating is easily missed in tight places and then will rust quickly.

Does Eastwood (or anyone else) have a good chassis spray in any other color? Want to do some wheels in red

Chemical dip and "acid" are two different things. Hot tanking is not an issue.
