Yes I know about DSMs, is it a 1.8, 2.0 N/A or 2.0 turbo?

I used to work on them years ago at the dealer. I have a manual on them around my house somewhere. I will try to find it. Ron

Being a RS its probably a turbo, had two of them, father in law is still driving one.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/ Probably the best search engine and forum for these cars. FSM and haynes etc are pretty much all you need usually.

Let me know if you need more help, I have the FSM for electrical.

thanks for the response. It is a rs but non-turbo. not sure how common that combination is. trying to locate the crank position sensor. I have a haynes manual for it but the book does not tell me where it is. any help would be grateful

thanks Ron. If you can find it and are willing to sell it, let me know. I could really use it.

its a 2.0 dohc non turbo, automatic trans. 95k miles. runs like chit when it warms up. think it might be the 02 sensor but dont want to guess on this one. parts are hard to come by and not cheap.

If its a 1g 2.0 dual overhead cam 4g63 then it doesn't have a crank position sensor, its probably the camshaft angle sensor. You can adjust base timing with that. But as you said probably a good chance of a bad o2 or vacuum leak. They make loggers for the ob1 or you can use a buzzer to get the trouble code if there is one.

Won't let me post a picture, but just search for 1g cas in google.
