Anyone have an old Fram filter catalog? I'm looking for the application of filter # ca-132. It looks similar to a 6pk filter, but doesn't fit the a 6pk a/c housing.

Bill, Thanks for the link. Do you think that part number search would only include presently available filters? I don't believe the filter I have is produced anymore and perhaps this is the reason it doesn't show up in the Fram search. The box my filter is in appears to be the original. It is just a plain brown cardboard construction with the words "Fram ca-132" stenciled onto it. I think it might be for a 64-5 race hemi a/c housing, but want to verify. Any older Fram catalogs out there? How about a race hemi, A-990 web site?

Not shown very well may be due to being a dis-continued pt #

I may have an old fram listing at home. I'll ck this afternoon and see what, if anything I come up with

is it bigger or smaller than the 6 pack filter?

Compared to a 6pk filter it is slightly wider at the sides and the front and rear has a more rounded shape to it. The heights are roughly the same.

Maybe search on eBay for an old Fram catalog?

I looked , I do not have any way to cross it. If it's race hemi cross ram, I seriously doubt there was any other manufacturer for this application besides Fram. So there most likely was not any cross reference filters avail in the aftermkt.

You may try the race forum with a picture and dimenensions.

sorry I was no help

Bill, Thanks for trying. I've never posted any pics here before, not exactly sure how? As far as the filter goes it looks similar to a 6pk filter, just rounder at the front and back. It has the orange rubber with round hole screen on the outside, square mesh on the inside. Its overall length front to back is 21 5/8". Its width is 16 1/4". The height is 2 1/8". Anyone have a race hemi a/c housing lying around?

I have been trying to research this part number for some time. I spoke with the guy's at Fram and they don't have any listing for that part number. Not even in there older catalogs. I do believe it is for a race hemi though and I ne one for my car. I am currently using the K&N replacement that is available by special order but would rather have a correct filter if at all possible.

You're dimensions are right on. Here's a pic of an NOS filter and the carter carb base. There are no part numbers on the filter.

I have one that is 21 1/2" x 16 1/4" x 3". I haven't been able to find out what it fits.

Here is a comparison between this filter and a 6-Pak Shaker filter.

I bought a couple like that from a guy that said they were race hemi but they don't fit the aircleaner correctly. One guy told me they were for an International Harvestor tractor.

The large air filter fits this cowl induction air cleaner that was used on the hemi engine, mainly used on the ARCA speedways, back in the day.

I have seen another one of these years ago. If you look at the spread between the carbs this fits the two Holley 600 four barrel intake, like the one Mopar Performance selld today. Now that I see this air cleaner again it dispells the rumor that the two holley system was only a marine application. It might have been used that way but this air cleaner clearly shows it was used on a car as well. That three inch height is interesting. I wonder if that's what I have here?

Here is another photo of a NASCAR single 4bbl cowl induction air cleaner that i have in my collection.
Bet ya that's an obsolete air filter element.
