I purchased Metro super soft roof rail weatherstrip and it does not fit right.
Same problem with my Duster, ended up re-installing the original.
Any other options for weatherstrip?

Seems lately (last 5+ yrs) you need to purchase all the manufacturers mouldings offered, and go thru them all to determine what fits/works, and what don't when restoring a vehicle,....the soft seal roof mouldings for my Charger were slightly oversized in profile which lead to a few HOURS of tedious playing to readjust the powerwindows to seal, and the doors to open properly with the glass up ....and the door seals from 4 different mfg's went into the trash,...the originals were put back on,...only went thru 2 trunk seals before finding one that worked,...the metro vent window seals were right on the money though, fit like factory, hood seals were good,....and it's just not me, or my car, several other B,E projects, mine and others have experienced the same problems, regardless of the manufactures,...just a crap shoot mfg to mfg,..

I spoke to the vendor that sold me the roof rail weatherstrip and he is sending me another set. Also have a set coming from Steele rubber products, will let you know how I make out when they arrive. Thanks for the replies, John.
Metro makes it and Steele is a vendor for them. Metro also told me to send mine back, no questions, and they'll send a new one, if there was a problem . They should have a 15 year warranty.

Had the same problem also. So I put the original back in and it worked great. I definetly don't reconmend the new stuff unless you have no other option. Good waste of 100 plus bucks

I am using the same stuff on a 73. The channel is working right, the stuff is not staying put on the A pillar. I did use weather strip adhesive to stick it on but after 5 weeks, it all gave way. Looking for another adhesive to tack it back on. Craig

I used the Metro roof rail seals and they were a bit tight, and had to use a litte talent to get them in, but they are nice, tight and I only used adhesive on the bottom ends, like factory. This is a 68 B body coupe set up. also used their door seals and was very pleased with the fit.
