At the risk of sounding stupid which is something I am good at doing. What is a RB motor and the other motor is a BB is that right? What is the difference between the two. The car posted has 1972 440 Also what needs to be done to add a 6 PACK to it besides lots of money for the carbs?

RB is a "Raised Block". Motors like the 413 and 440.

B is the standard block. Motors like 361, 383, 400.

Just different deck heights.

To add a six pack you need intake, carbs, aircleaner and kickdown linkage for the transmission and most likely a valley pan/gasket set.

RB is Raised Block. That would be your 413's 426's and 440's. A BB Big Block would be your 361, 383 and 400. To add a 6-pack you just need about $2200 and a few hours of time. You might have to modify your kick-down linkage. My 6-pack worked pretty good right out of the box w/o my tweaking.

One nice thing i won't need a kickdown linkage the car is a stock 4speed rare for a belvedere 2. Was thinking I would need different heads and rods and pistons and so on.

nope you're good to go. You may have issues w/ hood clearance. The factory 6-pack is pretty tall..

You won't have a hood clearance issue , the 6pack with a factory aircleaner assembly is no higher than a 440 with a factory 4bbl intake , carb and air cleaner assembly.

is it? looked higher at least in the charger. I don't recall any 440 air cleaners being up in the insolation like this 6-pack was in mine. Not an issue for me anymore.

I've ridden in a car exactly like your red one that had a 440 six pack setup in it.

It fit under the stock hood but I don't recall if the bracing was modified.

The hood line on the 64 is tall enough to clear a max wedge with dual quads and incase you forgot the 1970 charger came from the factory with a 440 6pack.

In your case what engine block and heads was that 6pk on ?

1st engine was an iron headed stock block 440. Maybe the aftermarket padding was thicker than stock.
