im doing some updates on my combo and am wondering if there would be a better intake for my 440 rather than my torker 2

3500lb race weight dart sport, street/strip
440 11.0CR
ported stealth heads
solid flat tappet 250 255 530 540 108 cam
2 inch pro parts into 3inch x system
727 with 9 inch converter that is going to turbo action for a stall change 4k?
3.70 gear with 26 inch slicks. posible 410/28inch later
would a victor be an option? i think i have access to an original torker..? id like to be on the "racier" side of the combo..

I dyno tested a Torker 2, Mopar M1 4150 single plane and a Edelbrock Performer RPM on the same engine the same day, about 20 minutes each to change them, with no other changes. The torker 2 was the worst by about 20 HP and 25 Ft Lbs torque, the M1 and RPM where close to the same on the average readings from 3000 to 6500 RPM, the RPM was beter below 5000 RPM and the M1 was better above 5000 RPM If race only the M1 would be my choice, if street and strip I would use (do and have) the RPM intake I have not used the other intakes you ask about, sorry EDIT, I sure wish they had spell check on here maybe I should proof read better

i know intakes for these engines have die hard followers
m1 is always popular and in the mix
lot of guys like the torker or like tm7 type manifolds
rpm is a classic
i want the car to lean a lil more to "race" due to its a weekend toy that i want to drive to the local 1/8th mile track do as best as possible and drive home in one piece!
torker2 will allow me to keep my nice flat hood altough a 5inch six pack lift off would look cool!
maybe i can port the snot out of the torker 2? get close to that 20 hp back?

Look for a TM-7 or a M-1..different animal than the Torker 2.

Want to keep the flat hood? Then consider the Holley street dominator.Should respond well to a spacer if clearance allows but will pull hard w/o one.
I would run the 28" tall tire with either gear.It will be easier to hook.

My fastest run ever in my car was with a torquer II...I think it's a good intake. I'd stick with it or use a Holley SD.

Torquer II Intake is probably worth $80-100.

The SD is always highly reveered. I dont think ive ever heard a
Negative comment about it. The torker2 is free, clears the hood
And can be ported

The RPM is a good intake but as mentioned it is TALL and if you want to run a flat hood you might have issues.

Hot Rod did some manifold comparisons a few years ago. You might want to read up on their results and see how it might apply to your setup.

I used a TM7 a Torker(not a Torker2) and a M1 on a mild 440 with no other changes on a drag only car and the TM7 and Torker(not a torker2) there was no noticable difference but the M1 gained 2-3 tenths on my specific combo.Hope this helps.
