Putting in the 440 and hooked up steering lines, filled and now leaks out of the resevoir....steady drip. I have the pump pictured. It's either cmoning out of the shaft or the housing itself....at the botton. Any one tried to fix these or should I just buy new ? BTW....any one know what model pump it is if I have to buy new....
Thanks

You should be able to buy the seals to fix it, and it should be way cheaper than buying a new pump.

There are two types of PS pumps, the Federal and the Saginaw(?), and that looks like the Federal version.

Its either a federal or TRW, do a search and you will find out which pump and kit you need. Tim

I have that exact pump and reservoir. They do not make an exact replacement. I am having mine rebuilt through the service at Rockauto.

All replacement reservoirs I have foud do not have the large return line and the two mounting bols on the rer are not there, only one.

the few that I have had leak, were just the big o ring around the resevior.

I only replaced that and the gasket at the back, and they worked fine.

Thanks for the response. Agree that it's not a saginaw ? Any idea on where to pick up seals for this ?

It's not a Saginaw. I got my last pump seal kit from Napa a few months back
