Well I took a break from working on the Rampage last
week and went up to my other place... just to relax
and let the brain cool off.... now I need to pull the
W-2 thats in the race car and put the W-9 back in...
I need a couple of parts off of the W-2 so I can build
a duplicate set(alt mount and the motor plate) I need
the water pump off of it also to make sure I clear
the radiator on the Rampage......... does it ever
end so I guess thats what I'll do tomorrow

Taking a break is good. When it ends, that's a bad sign.

It's good to let the brain cool off every once in awhile; sometimes it helps devise a better or more elegant solution to a problem.
Plus, it means you have time to answer questions and provide input on my build!

Mike, isn’t retirement great? I’m so busy now; I often wonder how I found time to go to work before I retired. About once a month I take one day and just set around, do nothing and relax.

Well for the time being I stole the water pump off
my W-9 and found something to simulate the 3/8" motor
plate.... I have a TON of room between the water pump
and the radiator/fan.... about .150 clearance... I knew
it was gonna be close but I wanted to make sure...
I get a couple of pics later today and post them on
my Drag Week build post

All you had to do Doc was work there for 35 years
and you would have got one also... then you would
be pissed also when they take part of the medical away

That COULD have been REALITY if I had followed-up the job interview I had with both Al Adams and Ron Mancini in the trans-lab with a simple phone call way-back-when ..

But THEN my life would have been a whole-lot-diff ...

Looks like you could move the radiator to the right a bit and gain some clearance between the shroud & pump. Can't tell what that projection on the shroud is, or if it could be trimmed, but I'm sure you'd be doing that already if you could. Or maybe change the angle of the radiator, or drop it down a bit?

I can trim the plastic on the fan brackets but it
doesnt need it... there's plenty of room... plus
I'll put a strut from the front of the engine to the
top of the radiator to help hold it so it might end
up with a touch more clearance
