After rocker breakage Im changing my Indy rockers for a set of Harland sharps. Heads are Indys 440-1. Do the HS rockers use the same length pushrods as the indyrockers or do I need a new set?
Thanks for any help, Chris
Sorry i have anything to add.But I'm in the same boat looking to replace the Indys with Harlands so I'll be keeping a eye on on this post.

X2 Put the new rockers on and check them with the pushrods you have.

know one will know the right answer except you. Head and block decking makes a diff on push rod length. You can get by with 2-3 threads showing out the adjuster, if more, you might just get by with a set of $40 lash caps... Just get your new rockers and see.

I was @ NMCA in Joliet today. I talked to HS rep. he said $1000 for a set for big Mopar with Indy heads. Not the offset intakes either! Did they go up or is the show price WAY high. Or is the show rep. HIGH? My Don

the hs will require a shorter push rod than the indy/dove
I think this guys right. From what I recall messing with HS, Dove and Crane rockers years ago, none of them would use the same length pushrod when I set them up to see which fit my heads best.

I just went thru this exact same swap last year. The HS will require a different length push rod. I will recommend Smith Brothers push rods while I am replying. Awesome tech help and quick order filling. They act like they want your business. Nice to have good service once in a while.
Hope this helps, Beep
x2 smith bros. even wanted me to send in my old smith bros. pushrods to have them shortend. did not have time, so they next day aired me some. made the next weekend race and runnered up in a 5k race.

the ball end of them was grinding off in the lifter cup. After looking at the roller lifter a little closer, I noticed the cup looked like it was too small for a 3/8" ball end. It was.
When I was checking my Indy pushrods in the lifters they didn't sit right. I coated the tip with a magic marker then fit it into the lifter and it showed a ring where it was only making contact with the edge of the cup. ???! So then I checked the ball and cup with radius gauges. The cups were 3/8" dia. but the "supposedly" 3/8" dia. pushrod tips were off. Indy has them back and I've ordered Smiths.
FWIW, Smiths pushrods come in .050" increments which is one thread of an adjuster screw.

Smith bros will make you any custom length as well and you will still have them at your door in a few days.
