Jay1454 OP member J Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 25 NJ	Hi, Can anyone tell me if stock T/A's came with the electric Idle solenoid? The service manual I have indicates they were only on 340's with a 4 barrel. I bought the car about 2 years ago and am just getting time to really spend some time on it. It ran "ok" last year but now I'm having trouble geting it to Idle. Any help is greatly apprciated! Thanks,

It won't improve your idle, it was used to allow a higher idle RPM & have the engine shut off properly when the key is switched off... You can find some technical information on them at http://www.challengertaregistry.com/documentation.html
